7milowy is implementing SPRINT in Scanclimber Poland, Finland and Germany

Gniezno-based Scanclimber and foreign companies of SCANINTER FINLAND capital group, a producer of construction lifts and mast climber work platforms, are implementing SAP on the basis of SPRINT solution. The implementation is conducted by 7milowy from BCC group.
7milowy offers SPRINT, a preconfigured version of mySAP ERP system, within a global initiative mySAP All-in-One, which makes SAP available for SMBs. Thanks to the implementation in Scanclimber, SPRINT will be the first Polish package of mySAP All-in-One to be used abroad on a wide scale.
The implementation of SPRINT will include all key areas of Scanclimber operations, from finance and controlling to supply and production to sale management. ‘It is a very important project for us’, says the company’s chairman, Piotr Stanik, ’as the implementation will be executed not only in our plant in Gniezno, but also in our units in Germany and Finland. Thanks to SAP system we want to integrate all companies that make up SCANINTER group, thus improving management quality’.
Scanclimber has more than 40 years of experience in Polish market. It dates back to ZREMB, a construction equipment company created in 1964. In 1991 the company changed its name to FADA-GNIEZNO and started cooperation with OY SCANINTER NOKIA of Finland, changing its name to SCANCLIMBER Sp. z o.o. From 1998 to 2002 the company was part of Plettac Group concern, a world leader in scaffolding production, and currently it is owned by an international group SCANINTER.
Albert Smektalski, the company’s financial director, explained the reasons for choosing SAP: ‘The specificity of our production requires from us to be very flexible. Sometimes it takes a few months or even longer to execute one order and then it becomes vital to control the timetables of the works, set deadlines and settle works in progress. We really needed an IT system. We were thinking about SAP, but we were afraid of high costs. SPRINT was just the thing, as it lets us introduce a top-quality system, namely SAP, in half the time and at half costs’.
This is possible thanks to a special implementation methodology, based on the experience of BCC group, which owns 7milowy. BCC group has 10-year experience in SAP implementations both by classic methods and with th use of SPRINT. SPRINT, created and developed by BCC, was the first SAP solution for SMBs in Poland and is still the most frequent choice among SAP solutions’.
