BCC supports SAP upgrade in PKN Orlen, one of the biggest companies in Central-Eastern Europe

Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen SA, the largest producer and distributor of fuels in Poland, is undergoing one of the biggest ERP system upgrade projects in Poland. Orlen IT employees and a team of BCC consultants are executing SAP system upgrade from 4.6b to 4.7 Enterprise version.
The project covers the following functionalities of SAP system: financial accounting (FI), fixed assets (FI-AA), controlling (CO) and project system (PS), materials management (MM), plant maintenance (PM), sales and distribution (SD). The upgrade also covers technical Basis system module.
Almost 2,000 people use SAP in PKN Orlen, which makes the installation one of the largest in Eastern Europe. The upgrade is a next SAP project to be supported by BCC in Plock-based company. In 2003-2004 BCC executed for PKN Orlen SA and its 12 dependent companies an implementation of mySAP HR system, which supports human capital management.
