EasyCrossdock: processing of cross-docking in SAP

BCC provided an in-house developed extension of SAP system standard, enabling the shortening of the processing of the receipts and issues in the warehouse. Thanks to EasyCrossdock, the operation of so called cross-docking is processed completely in SAP ERP.
Cross-docking is applied particularly in the distribution companies, consists in the trans-shipping and dispatch of the goods to the recipient directly after the delivery to the warehouse, without storing. It enables reduction of the costs of the supply chain, requiring at the same time a precise synchronization of the receipt of the deliveries and execution of the dispatches.
It is actually assured thanks to the SAP system extension by the EasyCrossdock solution. By the aid of this solution, at the moment of the receipt the system checks, whether there is any recipient waiting for the given material, and if yes, the material is transferred directly from the receipt area to the issue area. Such intelligent directing of the goods ordered by the customer directly from the receipt area to the issue area assures time saving and saving of the warehouse area, and acceleration of the execution of the customer orders.
EasyCrossdock is an in-house developed solution of BCC, worked out as the extension of the SAP ERP system standard. The recipients of this product are the companies, which use SAP in the scope of WM (warehouse management) and use the cross-docking – above all the distribution companies. The first Customer of BCC, who decided to start this product, is a trade company from the Automotive sector.
