Knauf Group chooses BCC as a strategic partner for further SAP development

BCC co-creates a corporate SAP model for Polish units of Knauf Group, a leading manufacturer of construction materials.
The objective of the implementation works is improving the business process support model in Knauf plants in Poland with the use of SAP system. The model prepared in cooperation with BCC will be a basis for starting SAP system in next units owned by Knauf group.
Marek Zwierzchowski, manager for organization, telecommunication and IT, who coordinates the project for Knauf, comments: “We intend to expand greatly the scope of SAP system used in the units of Knauf Group in Poland. That is why we have started a cooperation with BCC. Preparing a business and IT model that is to operate in all our plants in Poland is not an easy task. So we decided on an experienced implementation partner who understands our business needs well”.
The first part of the project is improving the system of supply chain for gypsum-cardboard plants in Bełchatów and Opole along with introducing appropriate changes in SAP system. The aim of the works carried out by BCC is to start a full production planning cycle which will enable setting production needs in the short and long term. The changes will help check the plans in terms of production capacity and plan raw materials and packaging needs.
At the same time BCC consultants are carrying out an implementation of SAP Business Workflow. Within this implementation BCC specialists will work out SAP system solutions that will help in efficient work organization and document flow in administration and marketing departments.

Knauf Group is one of the leading manufacturers of construction materials. The company, existing in Germany since 1932, nowadays produces its goods in over 100 plants in Europe and the world. They produce construction materials based on gypsum, lime and cement. In Poland Knauf opened a few plants, like those in Bełchatów and Jaworzno.
