Lithuanian Elgerta is introducing new e-data interchange technologies (EDI) with BCC

Elgerta Group, a leading distributor of electronic components in the Baltic States, is introducing new e-data interchange technologies (EDI) in the SAP system. BCC is responsible for implementation of SAP PI (Process Integration) platform in the newest version (SAP PI 7.3).
Elgerta has signed contracts with BCC and Edisoft regarding the first EDI project. The first stage of this project should be completed by 1 November 2011. The scope of work includes the first two-way EDI link with one of the major manufacturers represented by Elgerta Group. This project will enable sending, receiving of all orders, order confirmations or other documents between the partners and their upload directly to the business management systems bypassing earlier manual data entry and their updates. To facilitate the EDI communications, Elgerta is installing the advanced SAP Process Integration 7.3 software package implemented by BCC. EDISOFT company was selected as a strategic partner of the e-data portal and the data center.
EDI installation will enable efficient use of the employee work time and reduce manual work by approximately 70%, resulting in quicker and more accurate exchange of data for daily business operations. By the end of 2012, Elgerta Group is planning to manage about 80% of the document workflow with suppliers using the electronic data interchange technology. Over time, EDI will expand its relations with the key clients of Elgerta Group.
