For the food industry leader, owner of Goplana, Dawn, Solidarity and Hellena brands, BCC has migrated SAP ERP and SAP BW systems to the SAP HANA platform in the Tailored Data Center Integration (TDI) model. Since February this year, Colian has been using the SAP hosting and administration at BCC Data Centers.
Colian decided to migrate its systems to the SAP HANA platform due to the new data reporting and analysis capabilities resulting from the technological superiority of this solution. SAP HANA is an innovative technology based on in-memory data processing. The SAP HANA revolution consists in managing large sets of data directly in memory.
BCC experts migrated the whole SAP environment of the Colian Group to the new platform, including the SAP ERP system and the reporting system based on the SAP BW data warehouse.
These applications are currently maintained at BCC Data Centers on an outsourcing basis, in the Tailored Data Center Integration (TDI) model. This means that the resources and competencies used by BCC data centers meet stringent requirements regarding performance, availability and security in the context of the maintenance of applications based on SAP HANA. The TDI model also enables flexible use of data center resources. It is worth noting that BCC has also a unique SAP Certified in SAP HANA Operations Services title.
The Colian Group is one of the largest food producers in Poland. The company operates within three business divisions: confectionery, culinary products (spices, dried fruit) and beverages. It owns such brands as Goplana, Solidarność, Jutrzenka, Grześki, Familijne, Jeżyki, Akuku!, Appetita, Siesta and Hellena. The Colian Group has its headquarters in Opatówek near Kalisz. One of its manufacturing facilities is also located there. The other factories are in Bydgoszcz, Lublin, Kalisz and Wykroty. The Colian Group owns also Elizabeth Shaw — a producer of premium chocolate products based in the UK. For taking over this company, it received the Food Market Award 2016 in the Event on the Food Market category. It was granted for setting the direction of development for Polish companies by acquiring foreign entities in their domestic markets.
